Even though firefighters are issued pagers for notifications, some emergency situations may call for the use of the fire horn. The fire horn serves an important role as a backup notification system, helping to alert all possible members to an emergency - especially when the additional personnel are required. Out of respect for the Fire Department’s neighbors, the fire horn is used sparingly – times when its’ assistance could mean saving lives or the wellbeing of others in our community.
