Become a Lifeguard!

Are you looking for a part-time job?

Have you ever considered becoming a Lifeguard? It is easier than you think.

You can be a Lifeguard if you are at least 15 years old and can,

·        swim 300 yards continuously (using 100 yards front crawl, 100 yards

breast stroke and 100 yards choice of freestyle or breaststroke) and

·        swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet, retrieve a 10 pound object, return to surface and swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without use of ladder or steps within 1 minute and 40 seconds.

The Town of Mamaroneck Recreation Department has positions available for certified lifeguards for various days and times that may suit your schedule.

This is a great opportunity for retired adults.
