Executive/Environmental Sustainability Assistant to the Town Supervisor--Town of Mamaroneck

Newly-elected Town Supervisor seeks motivated individual to serve as executive assistant, and to assist with environmental sustainability initiatives. Candidates should possess exemplary organizational and communication skills, and have an interest in and experience with energy-saving environmental initiatiatives including grant research and proposal writing. Knowledge of Town governmental functions and activities is desirable.

Primary responsibilities include assisting the Supervisor in administrative matters and performing executive assistant/confidential secretary functions, includeing scheduling appointments, maintaining calendar and files, handling phone and mail inquiries, preparing informational reports and editing and producing the Supervisor's newsletters and press releases. In addition, environmental sustainability responsibilities include assisting the Supervisor research, develop, and implement initiatives to reduce the Town government's energy use and carbon footprint through renovating, retrofitting, educating, and other efforts. Grant research and proposal writing skills and experience are desirable.

Candidates must be resourceful, tactful, energetic, able to manage multiple complex assignments, and to work a flexible schedule when situations warrant. Must be computer (PC) literate. Experience in a similar office environment and a college degree are preferred.

Position Available: Pool Manager

Oversee day to day operation of pool and associated staff. Must have CPR/AED, FA, and prior pool experience. LG, CPO or WSI a plus. Part time evening and weekend hours year round.
