A plumbing permit is required to install new plumbing fixtures, and to replace or relocate existing fixtures. Plumbing permits are also necessary when the work involves the conversion of energy sources (i.e. from oil to gas), as well as work that involves gas piping.
All work that requires a plumbing permit must be performed by a licensed plumber.
Permit applications should be prepared using the Property Information Portal's
Online Permit System.
