The Town of Mamaroneck Police Department protects and preserves the rights of its citizens and enforces applicable state, county, and local laws. It provides fundamental police services such as crime prevention and investigation, patrol, and traffic enforcement. Additionally the Police Department assists local ambulance corps in responding to medical emergencies.
The Police Department also sponsors outreach efforts. Community outreach focuses on safety and crime prevention education. Meanwhile youth outreach programs ensure that children are introduced to important safety information early on.

This week, Town of Mamaroneck Police Officers Frank Commrade and Mill Lau were recognized by the Westchester Regional EMS Council for their lifesaving efforts of a town resident that was in cardiac arrest back in November 2016. Officers Commrade and Lau arrived at the scene and discovered the resident unresponsive and without a pulse. The officers performed CPR, rescue breathing and deployed a defibrillator. Along with the assistance of the Town of Mamaroneck Fire Department and Mamaroneck Village EMS the resident was able to regain her breathing and pulse at the scene, Pictured are PO Commrade and PO Lau at TMPD Headquarters with their Lifesaving Awards.
